Abstract: This dissertation focuses on how changes in an economic environment can affect an individual's decision making. I assess how individuals respond to different rules and regulations which are meant to alter behavior and the implications therein. I address this problem by looking at response to information that affects competitive choices, group coordination in the face of losses, and risky behaviors for teenagers in response to a legal barrier for smoking.
